Major Arcana · III
Growth wants tending, not forcing. Feed what you love and let it ripen at its own pace.
Care has tipped into smothering or self-neglect. Tend your own ground before watering everyone else's.
The same card angles differently depending on what you bring to it.
The Empress turns your attention to what grows when tended: a body, a friendship, a project, a garden of any kind. Force is the wrong tool this week; nourishment is the right one. Things you feed will show it, at their own pace. Choose one living thing — including possibly yourself — and give it deliberate, unhurried care today. What have you been meaning to feed?
Reversed, the Empress finds care flowing in only one direction — usually away from you. Tending everyone else's garden while yours goes dry is generosity on the surface and depletion underneath. Smothering counts too: some things need less hovering, not more. Take stock of where your care goes in a week. What would rebalancing one hour of it look like?
